
Having established that my approach to design is all about the “big idea” and, having been tutored by the best, when I entered teaching, I just passed on what I had learnt to my students. In that sense it was easy. My way is not the only way, but it’s the only way I know. It was how I was taught, how I worked and therefore, how I went on to teach.
Evidence of its success, lies in many of my students winning many student awards, including, most proudly, 46 D&AD awards, twelve of which were gold. From these gold’s, three went on to win D&AD “Student of the Year” and two won the prestigious “John Gillard” award.
